CFPÒ
Certified Financial Planner™

Matt Hanshaw, CFPÒ serves RHG as the director of the financial planning department. The CFP Board’s certification process assures the public that individuals authorized to use its marks have met education, examination and experience requirements to provide comprehensive financial planning advice and are committed to high standards of ethical conduct.

ChFC
Chartered Financial Consultants

The ChFC curriculum is administered by The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The required course of study includes insurance and financial planning, income taxation, planning for retirement needs, investments, and estate planning, in addition to a selection of three electives.

Founded in 1927, The American College is the nation’s oldest and largest nontraditional institution for higher learning devoted exclusively to academic studies in life insurance and related financial services.

CFS
Certified Fund Specialists

The Institute of Business and Finance awards the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) diploma to candidates who have completed a rigorous 60 hour self study curriculum and passed a comprehensive examination. The CFS program covers every aspect of investing as it applies to open end mutual funds, closed end funds, fixed and variable annuities, real estate investment trusts, and unit investment trusts. A Certified Fund Specialists is required to adhere to the Code of Ethics and fulfill annual continuing education requirements to maintain their certification.

CLTC
Certified in Long Term Care

CLTC stands for “Certified in Long-Term Care”, a designation granted by the Corporation for Long-Term Care Certification. The program is financially and editorially independent of the long-term care insurance industry. Graduates have completed a rigorous multidisciplinary course that focuses on the profession of long-term care, not the selling of insurance products. The “CLTC” designation is affiliated and endorsed by the College for Financial Planning, the company that created the financial planning industry’s most prestigious program CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.

CSA
Certified Senior Advisor

The Society of Certified Senior Advisors™ was founded in 1996 by a group of forward-thinking geriatric physicians, gerontologists, elder law attorneys, CPAs, financial planners and other experts on senior issues. They created an organization that provides in depth training, and awards the CSA designation to those committed working with seniors and require ongoing, cutting edge education.

CLU
Chartered Life Underwriter

Also administered by The American College, the CLU requires courses of insurance and financial planning, individual life insurance, life insurance law, estate planning, and planning for business owners and professionals.
